1st Death Valley Natural History Conference Proceedings

Our first Death Valley Natural History Conference was held Nov 15 – 17, 2013. These are the proceedings of all research presented at the Furnace Creek Visitor Center by 30 different presenters. This publication was recognized at the 2017 Partnership Awards. Death Valley National Park is 3.3 million acres of questions. From how many bighorn sheep there are, how geologic faults affect the amount of water in our springs, or why the rocks on the Racetrack playa move, there’s so much left to learn. As a very strong mission fulfillment item, we’ve combined traditional scientific journal type papers on various subjects in the context of Death Valley Natural History with the latest in modern graphic design. This beautiful 460-page full-color book includes interesting photographs and figures to capture the reader’s attention and illustrate the topics included. We hope it will quench some of the additional questions regarding the mysteries of Death Valley that the science-minded individual may have.
